Overview

Tana Kalnbach, RN, LSN (Licensed School Nurse), visits three schools on a regular basis. The Licensed School Nurse:

• assesses individual student health and developmental status
• promotes and maintains the health and well-being of all students
• develops health plans for students with chronic health conditions
• provides health care treatments
• coordinates the prevention and control of communicable diseases
• develops a system of first aid and emergency care
• recommends new and updated health policies

Shannon McManus, RN, is the health paraprofessional at Little Mountain Elementary. She works in the school health office during school hours. She is certified in first aid and CPR, and works under the supervision of the licensed school nurse to:

• provide first aid
• administer medication
• process immunization records

ISD 882 will no longer be scheduling mass vision and hearing screenings.  However, if you have any vision and/or hearing concerns for your student, please click here to submit an online request for screening form.
